The atmosphere felt heavenly.

Here are a few highlights:

• All of the clients conveyed how their companies are becoming more compassionate, people-building, and aligned with God’s heart
• Numerous clients began personal repurposing journeys as a prerequisite to their companies being effectively repurposed
• The managing director of an accounting practice decided to eliminate all falsehood from her practice
• The president of a shipping business committed his company to turning the tide of industry corruption

After cultivating the soil and planting the seeds, it was emotional to see the beginnings of a new garden patch in Capetown. We are confident that God’s watering and sunshine will turn this garden into a lush and fragrant expression of paradise.

On Monday Doug had said that God was probably going to be working a lot in the consultants lives this week and boy was he right. Almost every one by this time had had a chance to pray with the intercessors and had been blessed with various words of affirmation and revelation.

God was busy at work and also blessed me with being able to sit and chat with Louis who is the most quiet person I have ever met with so much to say! He was also used to bless every single one of us this week and by the end of the week I had gained a new father.

I’m beginning to reflect on the fact that the venture is almost over and realizing how much I am going to miss the whole group being together in this context. The challenge is now for me to make sure I maintain the community that God has just blessed me with.

Many of the American consultants spent time with the prayer team where God revealed things He wanted to work through in their lives. Much of what was revealed only reinforced the reasons we were divinely paired with our co-consultants and clients. Shared tendencies to jump to action in our own strength before waiting to hear from God. Families in need of reconciliation and repurposing as much as our businesses. It was truly a powerful time.

• Jessica-“My client had a breakthrough when he realized that, in order to invigorate his business, he needed to address partnering.”
• Teju’-“It was a hard day coming off the weekend for my client and covering 3 of the P’s. I just kept encouraging her…’you’re almost done, just one more P!’”
• Megan & Al- “Everyday was a breakthrough for our clients, so Monday was about connecting socially and enjoying a sushi dinner while considering practical applications for the P’s.”
• Eric- “It was a hectic day!”
• Brad- “The Team Hoyt video is what stood out to me the most. That was incredibly moving.”
• Anonymous team member- “uhhhh…which Monday? um…hmmm- I don’t remember. Where were we Monday?”

Profit, Planning and Partnering weren’t my client’s most crucial P’s, so though the training details are a little fuzzy, I’ll never forget Monday, November 13, 2006! Three independent people had messages from the Lord for me and I am still dizzy with gratefulness for God speaking to me personally and giving me the clear direction I asked for on this trip. Thanks to everyone who has been praying for us!

In the afternoon we all headed to glimpse the most gorgeous view of Cape Town: Table Mountain. An exquisitely clear day, we held many a mini photo shoot to get that just-right photo in front of the city skyline and bay (see Kevon photographing Teju, left). Breathtaking view.

 A trip to Hout Bay finished off the evening where a couple team members were enticed by the sparkling Atlantic and took a dip, clothes and all. Back at the ranch Sunday evening, we buckled down to do some prep for the week and recharge with a time of prayer. There was a strong feeling that the coming week would be a challenging time personally for the consultants…

The evening was spent at Moyo. I feel led to confess, I would have flown half way around the world just for this particular South African experience at Moyo. Words will not do this venue or evening justice, but I will use a few in attempt: a savory South African buffet, exotic tribal dancers, a full on, over the top, never seen before musical performance, face painting to all guests (which we all thought suited our personalities quite nicely), kind, fun-loving people in every direction you looked, completely outdoor setting with authentic African decor, and most importantly: audience participating welcomed!

To wrap up, as I am sensing my long windedness, the night finished off with four of us on stage (we were asked, some might say begged, to come up to the stage), dancing on queue to the lead dancer’s beat…then, to our surprise, he asked 3 of us to yell, one-by-one, enthusiastically into the microphone (though instructions would not have been necessary given the build up of excitement we had to be a part of such an incredible performance) “I’m having fun!” out to the large, engaged audience. We all did without any hesitation as it was a completely accurate statement. I believe we were all independently giggling inside as well, as we were proud to be able to report back that we were practicing, and announcing, one of the F’s of the 10-F model of equip’s character wheel: FUN!

It is just amazing to see what God has done in the short time that we have been here and how there have been several breakthroughs for consultants and clients alike.

“People” was one of the topics we talked about and my client is one of the most amazing people I’ve met in recent times.
She is a pretty young person who is currently juggling two businesses; one accounting firm that she heads up and another Bed&Breakfast that she just opened with a friend a month ago.

It is really great to see how God has already opened her eyes to how actively involving Him in all aspects of her life including her businesses can impact the lives of those around her and to then hear similar stories from all the other clients.

Took a tour around the client’s business, meeting his colleagues and had opportunities to share what Equip is all about. In particular, had opportunities to share that Equip was primarily about advancing God’s Kingdom in the marketplace – to non-Christian colleagues! Hmm – let’s see how God uses this……

Spent one hour completing the strategies, action items and KPI’s for just “Presence” and then the rest of the time focusing on Purpose. Still need to button down “Products”. Our client working on best way to present these proposals to upper management.

Spent 20 minutes praying in the client’s office … asking for marketplace miracles, organizational alignment/clarity of roles, and ability to conduct business with a servant heart.

The day started off with an awesome worship session led by Johan and Clive. The synergy between consultants and clients is amazing and can only be God inspired. God is using these partnerships powerfully. Clients are realising how their businesses can have an impact on their households, their city and the world for God’s Kingdom. There was an awesome presence of God during the morning session as we all listened to Kevon and Carla’s presentations.

 The clients are starting to settle in and are beginning to familiarise

themselves with the Equip material and miracles have already begun to happen. My client’s are two sisters who are in business together and one of the sisters recommitted her life to the Lord! It is amazing to experience these breakthroughs and I am deeply thankful to God for hand picking me to be a part of this venture. Tomorrow we have our visioning session with our clients and we are trusting God for more miracles.
